Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival Receives Special Honors
The Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival`has been named by the readers of "Ride Texas" Magazine as the tenth-best music festival in the southwest, in the recent "Reader's Choice Awards" poll conducted by the magazine, and announced in the March, 2008 issue which is currently on newsstands.
The readers named Austin City Limits as the number one festival in the region. Other notables include the New Orleans Jazzfest at number seven, and Willie Nelson's 4th of July picnic at number eight. "Ride Texas" caters mainly to motorcycle riders in the southwest.
"We are extremely excited to have been given this great honor", said Jazz/R&B Fest chairman John Evans. "We always try and put on a great show and this indicates that we must be doing something right. When you think of all the great music festivals there are in this region, it's amazing they would put us in the top ten."
